Harrogate, Tenn.----Wingate University’s South Atlantic Conference basketball doubleheader at Lincoln Memorial University has been moved to Monday, Feb. 1. Weather concerns prompted the switch. The twin bill was originally scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 30.
On Monday, the Wingate women will face the LMU Railsplitters at 4 p.m. in Tex Turner Arena. The Bulldog men will face the ‘Splitters at 6 p.m. The two contests signal the beginning of the second half of the 2009-10 SAC basketball schedules.
Wingate basketball fans can listen to the games Monday, thanks to the Wingate University Sports Network and Stretch Internet. The 2009-10 Internet audio broadcasts are free; however, Bulldog listeners must have QuickTime Player installed on their computer.
Wingate University graduate Ryan Brown (class of 2006) will provide the play-by-play for the broadcast. Wayne Shadrick will contribute the basketball color commentary.

Wingate’s 43 Academic All-America® honorees (lifetime) is tops among all SAC schools.
