Pennsburg, Pa.----Wingate University head men’s lacrosse coach Sonny Ziegler will be inducted into the Perkiomen School’s Hall of Athletic Honor Friday night, June 12, 2009. The Welcome Celebration and Awards Ceremony kicks off the school’s Alumni Weekend and Ziegler’s 25th high school reunion. Former Perkiomen lacrosse coach (and fellow HAH member) Reid Watson will present Ziegler during Friday’s ceremony.

Indian Trail, N.C.----Wingate University senior lacrosse student-athlete Evan Schaller (Kirkville, N.Y.) is featured on page 23 of the Summer 2009 edition of Sports Spectrum magazine. Sports Spectrum is a Christian sports magazine that highlights professional and college athletes. The publication has a subscriber base that reaches all 50 states, Canada and 10 foreign countries.

Towson, Md.----Wingate University senior defense Evan Schaller (Kirkville, N.Y.) has been named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America® men’s at-large second team (college division), selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). An Accounting major and an English minor with a 3.84 GPA, Schaller earns ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America® honors for the first time in his illustrious Bulldog career.
